Tim Wayte’s career in construction spans over 25 years, beginning with a pre-trade carpentry course in 1998. Tim’s early work included a commendable stint with the New Zealand Army, where he served as a carpenter and completed significant overseas deployments. This experience honed his skills in diverse building environments and fostered a strong sense of dedication and resilience.
Building on this foundation, Tim expanded his expertise in London, working on a range of projects from council housing to high-end residential renovations. His international work further refined his craftsmanship, which he brought back to New Zealand, continuing to build a reputation for quality and reliability.
Based in Dunedin, Tim’s approach to construction combines traditional values with a modern, client-focused outlook. His hands-on leadership and attention to detail ensure every project is completed to the highest standards, whether it’s a residential renovation, light commercial build, or a custom-designed shed.
As the owner of TGW Building, Tim brings a personal touch to every project, emphasising integrity, strong client relationships, and a commitment to excellence. His dedication to both his craft and his local community aligns perfectly with Sheds Direct Otago’s own values of delivering quality, reliable, and innovative shed solutions.
